Treviamet 50/850mg Tablets 14's

Treviamet contains sitagliptin 50mg and metformin 1000mg.Its used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Sitagliptin and metformin help your pancreas produce more insulin, facilitate effective use of insulin by the body, and reduce excess sugar that your liver makes. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Treviamet 50 mg/1000 mg tablet is to be taken with food.
Taking metformin with alcohol can cause lactic acidosis and you may experience malaise, respiratory distress, slow or irregular heartbeat, sleepiness, stomach upset or other unusual symptoms.Treviamet 50mg/1000 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Treviamet 50mg/1000 mg Tablet may be needed.
Blood sugar is controlled throughout the day, including after meals. Chances of weight gain and low blood sugar are lesser as compared to other diabetes medicines. Take with meals to lower your chance of having an upset stomach. Monitor your blood sugar regularly. Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing, or persistent nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain.
Common side effects include Diarrhoea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach upset, Headache, Nasal congestion, Sore throat, Respiratory tract infection, Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) in combination with insulin or sulphonylurea.
